2003 Cathedral Centenary
The foundation stone of the Cathedral was laid in 1895, amid great publicity. The opening of the Cathedral eight years later, in 1903, was a quieter affair, perhaps falling under the shadow of the sickness and death of Cardinal Vaughan. This Centenary of the Cathedral’s opening was marked by Liturgies, concerts and other events. For a list of events please click here.
