The Cathedral
needs your help
Westminster Cathedral is at the heart of the Catholic
community of England and Wales. It is a place of beauty with an unparalleled
tradition of music, a haven of peace in a busy world and, above all, a
house of prayer where all can experience the holiness of God and the presence
of Jesus Christ.
These unique qualities of Westminster Cathedral must be preserved.
However, the hard fact is that we do not raise enough money to meet our
basic expenses. It costs £3000 a day to run the Cathedral and maintain
its fabric. Raising this sum is a huge challenge, particularly as we receive
no Government funding. For this reason, we need the help of everyone who
cares for Westminster Cathedral.
