2003 Centenary
The foundation stone of Westminster Cathedral
was laid in 1895, amid great publicity. The opening of the Cathedral eight
years later, in 1903, was a quieter affair, perhaps falling under the
shadow of the sickness and death of Cardinal Vaughan. This Centenary of
the Cathedral's opening is marked by Liturgies, Concerts and Lectures.
