On Saturday, 15 March the Friends of Westminster Cathedral will host a St Patrick's Night event in the Cathedral Hall.
The band, Black Velvet, will play an array of foot tapping, tub thumping hits to get the crowd on its feet. A supper to include Irish stew and other traditional fare will be served, free glass of Black Velvet on arrival, with Guinness, wines and soft drinks available. There will be a recitation of some of Ireland's finest poems, Irish dancing and ‘Broom Dancing’ with award-winning dancers from Lord of the Dance. The evening will be opened by the Administrator of the Cathedral, Canon Christopher Tuckwell.

Westminster Cathedral Choir and Orchestra present one of Bach’s most famous and sublime works, the St Matthew Passion. With renowned soloists James Gilchrist (Evangelist) and David Soar (Christus), and a double orchestra and choir conducted by Martin Baker, this concert is a must for the Lenten season.
