Nicholas Owen was a Jesuit lay brother and principal builder of priest holes during penal times. Tony Reynolds, author of St Nicholas Owen: Priest-Hole maker is giving a talk about him in the Hinsley Room on Saturday 14 May at 3.00pm.

Location: Westminster Cathedral

This concert will take place in Westminster Cathedral on Wednesday 25 May at 7.30pm.

Tickets are on sale for £20 (£10 concessions) and can be bought online at Ticketmaster.co.uk, over the phone on 0844 844 0444 or in person at the Cathedral Gift Shop.

The concert is also marking the release of Westminster Cathedral Choir’s next CD The Lamentations by Alonso Lobo, which can be bought at the concert ahead of the official release on Friday 27 May.

A trip to Selbourne to visit Gilbert White’s House, followed by Mass celebrated by Canon Christopher Tuckwell in the beautiful 12th century church of St Mary’s. Free time for lunch and in the afternoon we visit the Vyne. Tea and a slice of cake included. Please bring a packed lunch, alternatively there is a very good cafe at Selbourne.

The Friends will join the congregation of Chichester Cathedral for a Catholic Mass to celebrate the Feast day of St Richard of Chichester. Celebrants: Bishop Richard Moth and Canon Christopher Tuckwell. Free time in Chichester for lunch. In the afternoon we have a guided tour of the Cathedral, and afternoon tea in the beautiful cloister tearoom and gardens. Coach will depart at 8.30am.

In the morning we visit Blessed John Henry Newman’s foundation at Littlemore, with a guided tour of the buildings and a visit to the church he founded. In the afternoon we travel to Rousham, an historic house with famous gardens in beautiful North Oxfordshire. Please bring a picnic lunch. Afternoon tea has been arranged at the Holt Hotel. Coach will depart from Clergy House at 8.30am.
