Parish Groups - Small Groups Directory

How Cathedral Groups can draw us into a deeper spiritual dimension - please go along and introduce yourself to the organisers at the time given, in any week. You will be very welcome.

What the different groups do:
30@6:30 & 30@12 are 30-minute explorations of terms that are used in the Bible. The sessions use Xavier Leon-Dufour’s “Dictionary of Biblical Theology.” All are welcome.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a support group that is run by alcoholics for the purpose of helping others who are afflicted with alcoholism.
Association of Divorced and Separated Catholics is a social organization that aims to restore the spirit of all those who participate in its meetings.
Bible Fun offers Catholic instruction in a relaxed setting for ages 3-6.
Catholic Evidence Guild prepares orators for Speakers’ Corner.
Centering Prayer sessions are conducted by Contemplative Outreach, UK.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is an effort to present the Word of God to children aged 4-10 in a manner that is appropriate to their age and ability.
Christian Meditation sessions are 25-minutes of quiet prayer in a small group with some soft music and a thought for the day.
Christian Meditation Instructions are 60-minute sessions of guided prayer in the school of Benedictine monk John Main using the teachings of the desert fathers.
Coffee Mornings allow us to get to know one another. Please come!
Charismatic Prayer draws a large number of people, who seek to appreciate the Holy Spirit’s presence in the community.
Divine Mercy Chaplet is a prayer service of St Faustyna Kowalska to Our Lord.
Filipino Community events replicate Filipino parish and social life here at the Cathedral.
Friends of the Cathedral conduct social and fundraising events.
Guild of the Blessed Sacrament participants attend exposition of the Blessed Sacrament with benediction after Monday evening Masses.
Ladies of Marshall are a social and cultural club.
Legion of Mary members pray and make pastoral home visits.
Monday Morning Prayer sessions feature topical intercessory prayer.
Oblates of Westminster Cathedral support the Cathedral’s mission by prayer.
Oremus Magazine is the Cathedral’s monthly glossy magazine that is created entirely by volunteers.
Nigerian Catholic Association strengthens community ties in London.
Scripture Discussion Group is a group of lay persons who meet to delve into the Word of God and apply its message to their lives.
St. Vincent De Paul provides assistance to people in need. Volunteerism is restricted because of confidentiality of those served.
Sneak Previews Scripture Study is a 60-minute guided discussion of the coming Sunday’s readings for Mass from Sacred Scripture. Participants are given background information on the readings. Twin Parishes Project volunteers pray for our missionary parish in Guayaquil, Ecuador. We include them in all that we do, and we try to meet their needs by putting on fundraising events for them.
Vocations Support Group members pray for vocations.
Westminster Leadership Conference is an organization of business leaders who work to live the Gospel message in the corporate world.
